A flat in Berlin for Ukrainians
What matters in an application, what language changes and where the service helps — and where it does not.
Updated:
Applications do not ask about citizenship
The housing companies' forms ask for your name, contact details, household size and type of income. As a rule they do not ask about citizenship.
What decides is the same as for everyone else: a complete application and documents you can produce after the invitation.
Language
The service itself can be used in German, Russian, English and Ukrainian. Applications go out in German, because the companies' forms are German, and the companies' replies also arrive in German.
The service does not translate those letters. It collects them in your account so that nothing is lost.
What you have to sort out yourself
- A registered address. An application requires a postal address.
- WBS. The certificate comes from the Bezirksamt; the conditions depend on income and residence status and are checked there, not by us.
- Proof of income or proof that the Jobcenter or the Sozialamt covers the rent.
- Advice. Questions about residence, benefits and covered housing costs are answered by the authorities and advice centres, not by this service.
What the service is
It is a technical service for applying, and nothing more. It does not let flats, owns no flats and has no special channel to the companies; it uses their public forms exactly as you would yourself.
What the service does
- Watches the public listings of the companies named below in Berlin and Brandenburg — at night and at weekends too.
- Fills in their public application forms with your profile data and sends the application in your name.
- Clicks the confirmation links from the e-mails where an application does not count without that click.
- Collects the companies' replies in your account and reports invitations to a viewing.
- Flats of companies where automatic application does not work are not shown to you at all.
What the service does not do
- It does not guarantee a flat. Only the housing company decides who gets it.
- It does not attend viewings, does not book appointments and does not sign a tenancy agreement.
- It does not send your SCHUFA report or payslips — the company asks you for those later and directly.
- It does not invent anything: what is not in your profile cannot be in the form.
- If a form requires a file attachment, the service does not submit it — there is nothing to guess here.
- It is not a substitute for legal or social advice.
