Applying to degewo, HOWOGE and Gewobag
Three municipal companies, three different routes — and what each of the three forms asks for.
Updated:
Three companies, three routes
There is no shared application form: anyone who wants to apply to all three fills in three different things.
- degewo — its own application form directly on the listing page.
- HOWOGE — a multi-step form, «Besichtigung anfragen», on the company's portal; the application is then confirmed by e-mail.
- Gewobag — an embedded form from the provider Wohnungshelden on the listing page.
What every form asks for
No documents are uploaded at this stage. SCHUFA, payslips and the Selbstauskunft are requested only after the invitation to a viewing.
- name, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address
- household size and the number of people moving in
- type of income
- a WBS, where the listing requires one
The confirmation e-mail
At some companies submitting the form does not yet mean the application has arrived: an e-mail with a link follows, and only clicking it makes the application valid. Anyone who misses that mail has effectively not applied.
Some companies send a longer questionnaire as a second step, which also has to be filled in.
What the service does here
- It watches these three companies' listings and submits whichever form they use, in your name.
- It clicks the confirmation link from the e-mail and answers questionnaires sent afterwards.
- If a form requires a file attachment — which happens with some Gewobag listings — it does not submit the form. That application stays your job, and you can see this in your account.
- The companies' replies land in your account, rejections included.
What the service does
- Watches the public listings of the companies named below in Berlin and Brandenburg — at night and at weekends too.
- Fills in their public application forms with your profile data and sends the application in your name.
- Clicks the confirmation links from the e-mails where an application does not count without that click.
- Collects the companies' replies in your account and reports invitations to a viewing.
- Flats of companies where automatic application does not work are not shown to you at all.
What the service does not do
- It does not guarantee a flat. Only the housing company decides who gets it.
- It does not attend viewings, does not book appointments and does not sign a tenancy agreement.
- It does not send your SCHUFA report or payslips — the company asks you for those later and directly.
- It does not invent anything: what is not in your profile cannot be in the form.
- If a form requires a file attachment, the service does not submit it — there is nothing to guess here.
- It is not a substitute for legal or social advice.
